The Artisan & The Journey
Our story began not in a studio, but on a transformative journey into the heart of Nepal in 2011. For seven months, I immersed myself in the ancient art of weaving, forging personal connections with the master artisans who have been perfecting their trade for generations. These are the hands that craft our rugs, ensuring every piece is an authentic testament to the highest-quality, heirloom craftsmanship.

My design philosophy is rooted in my decades of design expertise and a formal education from the respected Enmore Design Centre. This is a story that goes back to the early 2000s, when I honed my craft as a graphic designer at one of Sydney’s leading studios, Moon Design. It was here, while also exploring a creative rebellion in my A5 sketchbooks, that I won a prestigious AGDA award for my work. Inspired by the visionary spirit of the Bauhaus and a deep love for typography, each rug is a study in geometric abstraction, where bold shapes and typographic elements converge to create a captivating piece of art. This is a deliberate design dialogue between our modernist vision and the soul of the material, stripping away the superfluous to reveal the essential. We believe that true luxury lies in rarity, which is why each of our designs is offered in a single, limited edition of just 12 pieces, destined to become a collector's item and an heirloom for the future.
